Heyooo! Another week, another round-up. How was your week? Good? Great? Shitty? Lol - well thankfully it's almost February, because January has felt like a year in itself - amirite?! Can we talk about how drrrrrry my skin feels - LMAO. This weather is the worst, and my skin is NOT happy about it. Head to toe I feel like I am applying lotion 24/7. However, one thing that has defiantly helped is coconut oil, Vaseline and body oils. I randomly was listening to a podcast this week and someone mentioned how they lather up with Vaseline before they go to bed and they wake up to their skin feeling silky smooth. Tried it out all week and it 100% works. Then, I coat myself in coconut oil and slip into my silk PJs and I'm good to go! Also, I found the BEST silk PJ set on Amazon for $27.00! Ya'll can thank me later. I decided to give my nails a break and go "dip free" for a month or so. I typically always give my nails a breather at this time of year to help build them back up again. And before I get dragged for doing dip nails... Idc. It's the best manicure I have ever gotten, it lasts a month and I do take my own powder sooooooo.. Also! I have been adding collagen into my everyday routine, and I do think that it is helping a ton!
This week I had the pleasure of doing a couple try-on sessions at a local boutique, Little Blue Dress. I had a blast, and got to try on the cutest clothes. I find some of my favorite things at local boutiques. In addition, LBD had a winter sale going on that was BOMB.
In addition to sharing my LBD finds, I also shared my current fav Amazon finds on my stories on Saturday. This year I have a ton of weddings/bachelorette activities and misc vacations. One of my favorite things to do is plan my outfits ahead. I full stand by the saying, "I'm nicer when I like my outfit" haha! Lately, I have found some of the cutest things on Amazon. You can find them all here.
I'm also seriously considering publishing a weekly blog recap of the Bachelor under its own section. I have ALOT to say and think it would be so much fun to share my thoughts/finds (without spoiling everrrrything). Thoughts???

JANUARY 13-19, 2020
Another week down! Who else feels like January is lasting a life-time? I am so excited for Spring and nice weather, but it seems that IL is just starting winter. If I could pick one word to describe this week it would be "clustered". I had a lot of things I wanted to check off my list and just couldn't get it done. However, I know that sometimes that happens, and that it's okay! I defiantly felt a little bit of "writers block" and just an overall lack of motivation/vision of what I wanted to do with my blog. And it didn't help that the weather was crappy. All I wanted to do was cuddle up on the couch afterwork and watch Netflix with Caleb. That's a struggle that I am going to have as long as it's freezing outside. It's not as easy to create content, get to the gym or drive to *genuinely anywhere* LOL. But in all seriousness I feel that I genuinely need to designate a section of my blog for a Bachelor recap - FUN AMIRIGHT?! Love the show, and have a lot of opinions. Moreover, I am very excited for this upcoming week though. With a "clustered" week comes the next good week, right!?
Last week's gym schedule was a little scattered. I love going to the gym/I love working out in a gym. You will not find me doing at home workouts - it's just not for me. Therefore, with the weather being the way it is right now, it's not always easy driving to the gym at 5AM everyday (it's not necessarily very safe either). This week's weather looks like it will be warming up. I'm excited to be able to make it to the gym everyday this week (fingers crossed!)
This weekend I was able to sit down and do a lot of planning. This helps me analyze what needs to get done when and how much time I will need for each project. This is one other reason why I love blogging, it gives me something to do/look forward to every week!
Such a good series! Very intriguing - the cast/squad is so fun to watch!
Killer Inside: The Mind of Aaron Hernandez
Found on Netflix
For someone who does not follow football religiously and to have only known the surface information on Aaron Hernandez, this docuseries was VERY good and worth the watch.
JANUARY 6-12, 2020
Wow - What a week! This week was my first full-week back to work and it felt VERY refreshing. After having an inconsistent schedule, it was nice to get back to the routine of things. I also found myself spending a lot of time glued to my computer and hustling late after hours to get a head start on the month. With that being said, I am very happy it is the weekend and I can “unplug” for a couple days. That’s one reason why I love blogging. Blogging allows me to get out of my head for a second create content that I love. One thing I realized about myself is my need for a creative outlet. And my need for having another outlet outside of my everyday life. Insert - beyondablonde.com :) Every week I set goals for myself to help achieve bigger/more long term goals. This helps keep me on track and motivated. Whether these goals pertain to fitness, work, blogging or lifestyle in general.
My goal is to get to the gym at least 5x a week. The toughest struggle for me is time blocking enough time to allow myself to drive to the gym, get an hour workout in and drive home. The gym is a solid 20 minutes away from where I live, and I prefer to workout in the morning. Hints why I get up at 4:30AM everyday. Getting up early did not come naturally. It took time to get into a solid routine. I started off getting up at 5:30AM, and the next day 5:15AM and then 5:00AM (see the pattern here?). Eventually my body got used to getting up early although it did take a couple weeks to master. With that being said I was able to make it to the gym 5 times this week (3x during the week and Sat/Sun). CHECK!
This week was very important for me to get a good head start on the month. Most of you know that I work from home as a Recruiter for company based in Southfield, MI. However, my primary account that I recruit for is Caterpillar (mostly in the Peoria area) so it works great. My work is measured by goals. If you make/exceed your goals there is a lot of GREAT benefits $$$$. I just hit my one year anniversary so my goals have gone up. And that is why it is important for me to measure my weekly goals to make my monthly goals. Whether that’s putting in extra time after work or on the weekends - I want that money! This week I exceed my goals that I made for myself to set me up for hitting my monthly goals. CHECK!
Blogging is a job in itself! One of the most important things I do every week is to make a checklist of what I want to post/get done for my website for the upcoming week. Then, I look at my schedule and assign “Blogging” work for everyday. This has helped keep me accountable and on top of creating new content. With it being the new year, I reflected on what I want to bring to the table this year for my blog. Made a list and measured my goals. I live in a VERY small town. So I do not have the luxuries that most bloggers have. I don’t have a Target, Starbucks, Marshalls etc within a 40 mile radius. I have found how important it is to plan content that is do-able for me. Also! Not everyone has a Starbucks or Target in their town, so I know I’m not alone. And i’m going to use that to my advantage. So many times I follow bloggers that live this COMPLETELY different lifestyle than most of us do in this area. It’s not realistic (for us). While I do love Target and Starbucks… a Dollar General is the only “retail” chain I have available in my town! Lol
All together this week was pretty exhausting (in a positive way). I love working hard and challenging myself to be the best I can be. To me, that’s the most rewarding way to end a week. Here is a quick round-up of random things I enjoyed this week… Weekly Favs:
